TGSRTC Announces Special Buses for Sankranti Festival and Return Traffic
TGSRTC is running 6,432 special buses for the Sankranti festival, accommodating heavy passenger traffic on the 10th, 11th, and 12th.
Many people are expected to return to Hyderabad after the Sankranti festival on the 19th and 20th of January.
TGSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation) has planned to run special buses for the Sankranti festival to help people travel safely to their hometowns.
A total of 6,432 special buses will be operated during this period. Since many people are expected to travel, especially on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of January, there will be heavy passenger traffic. To manage the large number of travelers, TGSRTC will provide additional buses on these dates to ensure everyone has a seat and can travel comfortably.
Many people are expected to return to Hyderabad after the Sankranti festival on the 19th and 20th of January.
To accommodate the increased number of passengers, TGSRTC is planning to run special buses on these dates. These buses will be available from busy and crowded areas in Hyderabad, such as MGBS, JBS, Uppal Cross Roads, Aranghar, LB Nagar Cross Roads, KPHB, Boyinpally, Gachibowli, and other locations. This will help ensure smooth travel for everyone returning to the city.
The TGSRTC management has revised the ticket prices for special buses during the Sankranti festival as per the state government's GO. The revised fares will apply only on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of this month, and on the 19th and 20th, when the return journey traffic is expected to be heavy.
TGSRTC has clarified that regular buses will maintain normal fares, except for the special buses. As part of the state government's Mahalaxmi scheme, women will continue to travel for free on Palle Velugu, Express, City Ordinary, and Metro Express buses operating for Sankranti.
